Craigroyston Health Clinic
1B Pennywell Road
How to find us
Buses (numbers 24, 27, 32 and 37) stop just outside or opposite Craigroyston Health Clinic at the top of Pennywell Road.
There is limited parking space at the clinic but parking is unrestricted in the surrounding neighbourhood and it is not difficult to find somewhere to park.
The Craigroyston Health Clinic houses a number of community services – physiotherapy, dentistry, chiropody, etc. The building is wheelchair accessible and there is a buzzer system for entry. There is a reception desk immediately inside the entrance door and a single shared waiting area for all the clinics. The Sexual Health Clinic receptionist is at the main reception desk and you should register there when you arrive.
Who we are
The team is made up of a receptionist, nurse and doctor. The clinic is primarily a walk-in service but there are one or two scheduled appointments each week for particular procedures. It is not possible to book appointments at this clinic.
When we are open
Tuesday morning: 9:15 – 11:30am
Our direct telephone number during the clinic time is 0131 315 2121.
If you attend as a walk-in, you will be seen as quickly as possible. There may be a wait, depending on the number of people attending. You will be kept informed of the likely waiting time.
Who can come
Anyone may attend the clinic, whatever their age, sex and sexuality. We offer a confidential service and can refer you on to more appropriate services if necessary. Priority will be given to people who live in the local area. Sometimes people who work or study close to the clinic also choose to come if the opening times suit them.
If you are registered with any of the local GPs they may refer you to our clinic if they feel you would benefit from specialist advice.
GP practices also offer most of these services. It’s always worth asking first at your local practice to find out what is available.
